Welcome to OFF-SEASON Yoga
A Yoga class is the perfect opportunity to calm your mind, strengthen your body, and balance your emotions. Yoga helps to improve athletic performance by stretching and strengthening muscles, improving balance, and focusing the mind. Whether your event is running a marathon, playing basketball, or simply trying to walk up the stairs without pain, Yoga can help.
Along with being a great physical workout, Yoga works to increase what is called “Prana.” According to Yogic teachings, when Prana is able to flow uninhibited through the body many exciting things occur: increased mental clarity, breath flows freely, physical strength is restored, feelings of calm.
OFF-Season Yoga is here to support you in learning Yoga in a safe, fun, group setting as well as helping you develop your own personal practice. Our Yoga teachers can work with you on building a customized home Yoga practice. If you are an athlete, we can work with you on incorporating principles from Yoga into your sport. What would be possible if you were a bit more relaxed? Focused? Balanced?
The group class is open to anyone, of any fitness level. Even if the most you can do is sit down and focus on your breath, you can try yoga. Each class will be specifically tailored to the individuals who attend that class. In each class options will be given to increase or decrease the difficulty of a pose. This allows all levels of students to participate in a way that is both challenging and constructive.
