Dr. Lawrence Bourdeau, DPT, CSCS, ATC/L, OTC
Dr. Bourdeau is a certified and licensed Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, and Ortho Technologist. Dr. Bourdeau earned his B.S. in Athletic Training At Northeastern University Bouve College of health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts.
He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida.Dr. Bourdeau worked with the World Champion New England Patriots and accompanied them to the 2002 Super Bowl.
He again had the opportunity to help the team with physical therapy and athletic training in the 2007 off-season. Here in the Massachusetts area he has done physical therapy, athletic training, and strength and conditioning work for the Worcester County Wild Cats and 2007 New England Bowl Champions, the Massachusetts Fury semi-pro football teams.
Dr. Bourdeau has also done athletic training/physical therapy work though out Massachusetts for Ortho Sports Med Physical Therapy, Greendale Physical Therapy and Sport Chiropractic, Boston Medical Center, Sports and Physical Therapy Associates, Amherst College, University of Massachusetts, Boston College, Worcester State College, The College of the Holy Cross Western New England College, American International College, and Elms College. Other physical therapy experience includes neurological rehabilitation at the Kessler Rehabilitation Institute in Chester, New Jersey.
Dr. Bourdeau is the c0-owner/President of OFF-SEASON Sports & Physical Therapy. Sports in which he enjoys participating are rowing, cycling, skiing golfing, running, hockey and soccer.
Paulo Lage, PTA, LMT, BS Exercise Phys
Paulo is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and Massage Therapist. Paulo obtained his B.S. in Sports Medicine with a concentration in Exercise Physiology at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA . He went on to earn a certification in Massage Therapy one year later at Salter College in Worcester, MA . Most recently, he earned his A.S. in Physical Therapy from North Shore Community College in Danvers, MA. He has been working as licensed physical therapist assistant since September 2009. Paulo has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy. He has worked in outpatient clinics as a PT aide from 2004 until 2009 when he became a LPTA.
He worked at Greendale Physical Therapy/Sports Chiropractic in Worcester, MA , as well as Ortho Sports Med and Physical Therapy in Newton, MA , both of which he completed clinical rotations at. Paulo also completed a 250 hour clinical rotation at Whittier Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Westboro, MA .
Paulo has been working as a self employed massage therapist since 2006, utilizing a variety of manual therapy techniques on a wide array of patients and clients. Paulo has also gained sports medicine experience working as a personal trainer at Bodyscapes Fitness in Southboro, MA . Paulo continues to attend workshops and seminars to improve his skill set in the allied health field.
Paulo is the c0-owner of OFF-SEASON Sports & Physical Therapy. Paulo’s interests include playing sports, skiing and working out. He has played soccer at the collegiate level (Merrimack College), as well as semi-professional indoor soccer for two seasons; 2006 (South Shore Select: PASL) and 2007 (Springfield Twisters: AISL).
Dr. Adam Bramble, D.C.
Dr. Bramble is a board certified chiropractor licensed in Massachusetts and Oregon. He earned a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2002 from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. After finding his calling, he enrolled in chiropractic college at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Visit his blog.
In addition to his extensive education in the diagnosis of disease, Dr. Bramble is experienced in multiple forms of bodywork. He has been trained in many of the most modern and evidence-based treatments, including diversified adjusting, SOT, muscle energy techniques, cross-fiber friction massage, gua sha, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. Dr. Bramble’s goal is to find the root cause of a problem and help each patient’s body to heal itself. He is able to blend his science background with the art of chiropractic in to achieve that goal. Dr. Bramble strives to give each patient a focused and unique treatment to help them quickly get back to their active life.
Dr. Bramble believes his participation in organized and unorganized sports to help him in every aspect of his life, and knows sports are truly a positive addition to one’s life. In addition to a life of playing sports, he has used his expertise to treat athletes at a variety of events; from elite triathletes and runners at the Pacific Crest sports weekend in Sunriver Oregon to youth soccer players at the Oregon soccer classic. He enjoys running, skiing, playing soccer and cycling in his free time.
Janet Miller, B.S., LMT
Janet graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelor of Science in Sport, Fitness and Leisure Studies. Janet is also a licensed Massage Therapist and completed her studies at the Massage Institute of New England. She has worked at Comeau Health Care Associates and Nautilus Plus Gym, both of Danvers. She has worked with professional, collegiate and high school athletes to help improve performance, speed recovery time, and expedite the healing process; most recently with track and football players of St. Johns Prep in Danvers, MA. Janet specializes in sports deep tissue, neuromuscular and orthopedic massage.
Tricia Beretz Lic. Ac., C.SMA
Tricia is a Diplomate and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is licensed by the Board of Registration in Medicine as a Licensed Acupuncturist in Massachusetts.
Tricia is the acupuncturist and owner of Glacier Blue Acupuncture, where she has been practicing acupuncture since March 2009. She received her Master of Acupuncture degree from the New England School of Acupuncture, and has taken Masters level courses at Tufts School of Medicine in their Pain Management program. Her acupuncture studies began with Chinese style acupuncture with a strong concentration on orthopedic acupuncture, which she then further expanded to include Japanese style acupuncture.
Additionally, she has assisted with teaching neurofascial stretching techniques at the New England School of Acupuncture, and is now certified in the Sports Medicine Acupuncture®.
Tricia loves all winter sports including snowshoeing, downhill skiing, and has recently taken up telemarking. In the summer you may find her running, hiking or playing some really bad golf.
Sheila Adams, MS, RD, LDN
Sheila is a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetics Association (ADA) and a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in Massachusetts and Maine. She received her BS in Nutrition from Framingham State College CUP program in Framingham, Ma. After 2 years at Springfield College playing basketball and studying Health/Fitness she decided to transfer to FSC. All it took was one nutrition class and she fell in love with the science and health implications that good nutrition had to offer.
She earned her Master’s in Human Nutrition from the University of New Haven, New Haven, Conn. She has a strong clinical background in dietetics (20 years) including working at ST. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Children’s Hospital and in various long term care and Rehab facilities.
However, her passion lies in nutrition for sport. She enjoys competing in triathlons, playing soccer and trail running.
Buntha Kouy, B.S. Exercise Phys.
Buntha Kouy is an accredited Exercise Physiologist from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In 2006, he earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition minor. During his studies, he completed over 40 hours of practical hands-on-training with the Nashua Athletic Club located in Nashua, NH under the careful guidance of C.S.C.S. certified instructors. Following graduation he has worked full time as a one-on-one personal trainer and small group fitness instructor.
In addition, he has volunteered with the Lowell Senior Center in Lowell, MA designing, implementing safe and effective senior exercise programs. With over 5 years of experience, he has gained a multitude of exercise techniques that ranges from H.I.I.T., plyometric, calisthenic, manual resistance, and power training. Buntha specializes in acute and chronic physical exercise with a focus on human biochemistry, musculoskeletal movements and cardio-pulmonary energy expenditure.
Linda Robbat RN MSN – Shaman, Energy Healer
Linda Robbat has a Master’s of Science in Nursing and is a Registered Nurse. She comes to OFF-SEASON Sports & Physical Therapy with her extensive professional experience at Mass General Hospital in the Orthopedic/Neuroscience units and as a school nurse.
Linda has also been involved in holistic healing for over 20 years and since 2007 has been a practicing Shaman completing a 3 year program in energy healing beginning with introductory principles and progressing through advanced training.
Linda works on the physical, emotional, and spiritual planes when healing. As healing takes place, she uses many disciplines in order to work with individuals in solving issues in healing themselves. Linda integrates many forms of energy work into a single focused approach including coaching processes and techniques to assist people through the healing process.
Linda’s diverse experience in western medicine coupled with her training from highly acclaimed Shamans provides a unique experience for individuals. She is able to relate to her client’s physical ailments and assist them in an energetic process to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
Ryan Miller, Yoga Instructor
Ryan Miller is a cross-country, track, and marathon coach trained by ChiRunning® creator Danny Dreyer. He is also a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor. Ryan was a provisional national qualifier in the 10K and a five-time all New England award winner in college. A founding member of the Sisu Project running club, a post-collegiate club focused on health and wellness, Ryan brings a unique and refreshing training philosophy that allows runners to feel inspired and excited about every run.
Brenda Chase, LMT, Reiki Master, Polarity, Herbalist
Brenda has been working with Usui Reiki for over 12 years and received her Lighterian Reiki Master Teacher attunement in 2010. She is a Polarity Practitioner and state licensed massage therapist graduating from Palmer Institute, Salem MA in 2006. She has also recently completed an Herbal and Holistic Medicine apprenticeship with Gaia School of Healing in Vermont. Brenda is passionate and dedicated to holistic and natural healing for the mind, body and spirit.
